Didn't we determine that it was a '59? - DP It was still saveable...just needed a few more heads to get around the tricky stuff. I still think it would be awesome...

Hey ... you're not supposed to answer You knew that already, You were there for the rescue. Its still in town, just sittin' at steve's place. It is very solid, just needs a rusty donor to give up all its other parts so it's not just a shell of its former self. ;D Oh yes...... and someone to actually work on it. 'Cause steve will never do it. He still hasn't fired that type IV oval up........

heh..oops You'll need another project in a year...maybe that Bus will be the ticket. Now that we have a community of people with access to parts, tools, and experience...it could become a reality. A "Wilbur" hauler... If you know what I mean. ;D - DP

Maybe I'll just wait till Chris finishes the DC. He'll probably want to unload that to free up some space in the shop Wilbur can ride shotgun in the 61'. He's a good passenger and a bull terrier is about as rare as seeing an aircooled VW nowadays.

How about a 1 wheeled trailer for Wilbur...or a beetle side car?? Chris

Thanks for that DP! The photographer captured a moment there, whether he realized it or not. Thanks to DP for recognizing that and making it into a photograph instead of just a picture. The wide view and the high view are cool, the B&W with only the bus in colour is really cool as well. Looks like I am going to have to run off another pic on the plotter!

I can re-make the tall one with the Bus in color only if you'd like. I saw a pic-post on a Water-Cooled VW forum that had a color car on a B&W background and decided I could do it too. Glad you liked it... - DP

email me at
dDOTpetersATaccesscommDOTca . @ .
Put NUTS PIC in the title... I'll email 'em back and post the results here in the Pic Post.

Here's a Gallery of VERY COOL Type II's. Unfortunately, the images are small and not linked to a full-size image either. But I'm sure you'll like 'em...expecially Mr. (Type II) Old-Speed Murray. www.busdeath.com/new%20type-2page1.html- Doug
