So, I'm acquainted with the notion that you can use a Bay Window beam on a Split Bus....but, as a consequence, it is Wider and slightly taller in ride height.
So.... is it possible to go Split Bus beam in a Bay? You know, with swapped King/Link pins to drop it down a little?
I could have gotten Flamed on TheSamba for asking this...but I figured I'd ask the local guys first.
Possible?

I know it's been done but for the most part it's for a serious slam-o-matic job.
Other issue is I'm pretty sure the side plate bolt pattern is only the same up to '69 or '70 so you would have to modify the side plates anyway.
What had you thinking of going to Split beam route?

Hahaha, No... I'm not thinking of doing this.
It was just a question that I had bouncing around in my head after seeing Chris rebuild a set of King/Links.
Many of the Split Bus guys opt for the Bay Beam...and it's just about a direct swap... so, as it's just about a direct swap... I was curious if it could go the other way...since everyone is all about dropping the ride height.
My truck will remain a Truck...tall suspension and all. :-)
New pics will be posted soon...
