I need another project like I need to contract Leperosy, but when they find you, what's a NUTcase to do? This is Sandy (as my kids have named "her"). 1958 palm green sand green Standard microbus. Roger bought this bus, another split bus and a Beetle for a hundred bucks or so in circa1973 from a guy in Bowden. The other bus got sold, the Beetle became dune buggy fodder and this bus became the shed for parts. Fast forward to 2008. Roger feels that the bus may be worth something to someone who has a soft spot for lost causes, so he discusses it with Mitch, who sends him over to me. Roger sends me pics of it and, being a sucker for lost causes, we strike a deal. This bus had been sitting on the forest floor with no wheels for the last thirty some years, but the spruce trees it was under were large enough to shed the water so that the frame rails and cross members are still solid. The cargo floor and front floor are holy, but easily replaced. This bus was built about 300 VIN's before the change to the lipped decklid, so it has the flat 58 only decklid. It still has all interior panels (except the long panel) and a salvagable headliner. Unfortunately, no seats (as it was a shed), but considering how many pg/sg original paint buses there are, I think this one deserves to survive. As Found Cleaned up a bit and on it's feet.

Here are a couple more. I'll have to get some shots of the cab. It's got a good steering wheel, uncut dash, radio blockoff plate, etc. Greg, I've got those VOLKSWAGEN transfer decal for you and Pete from Chris. I will be in Edmonton later this month either for EOS or for work, so I can bring you yours.
