Hi there i was just wondering if there was a way , with out too much trouble of setting up a post type board that instantly is visible . I think air riders have one and it's kinda neat too chat with out sending a PM , you know just too say hi that kind of thing. I don't know how much work it is or " space " it would take up but i think it's a neat idea?? Joby

Well yes it is possible. It would take a little bit of work, since I am learning this stuff as I go along, but it's one of those things that, when I have some time on my hands, I will definately look into.

Would it also be possible to get e-mail notification of new posts on things that we have posted on? I don't know the technical terms, I hope I explained that propperly.

Well that's another one of those things that, by default, is not an option of the forum but, with some digging, I may be able to find the code to do that. I'll add it to my list of things to investigate.

Ok so this function already exists. When you are in a thread go to the bottom of the page and you will see a "bookmark" button. You will also notice the option to bookmark a thread when you are posting in it. Click on it to book mark that thread. Then you will want to go into your own profile, click on "bookmarks" and then "manage bookmarks" and here you can chose if you want a pm or an email notification when there is a new post in that thread. You can also delete bookmarks from here as well. When you are in the manage bookmarks area you will see that you can set a default for all bookmarks (no notification, pm or email), I would recommend that so you don't have to go in and do it every time you bookmark something new. And for anyone that missed the post (quite a while ago) about pm notifications, you can go into your inbox and "preferences" to have an email sent to you if you have a pm waiting. I hope this is helpful! Shayna Jaymie
