haha, too funny ken (knees, shorted out stereo). Unfortuneatly, what you say is soooo true. My stereo shorted also. The secret to safari's is, don't hook up your wipers, that way you'll never be in the rain!! You gotta admit though, when it 32 degrees and clear skies, it doesn't get any better than cruisin' with them wide open. With all the positive and negatives with safari's, i would still do it again........

The Mango is not going to have safari's. I'm going to see if I can stand not having them. The Mango is going to be the "camper" anyhow, so it will be stock height and driven in conditions that the 15 would be parked in. I am considering getting a rear safari for the Mango, just so I can use it for ventilation while sleeping.

My riviera got a set of Wolfgang Stainless Safari's. It too will be the "camper" and stock heigh but as I live in camping country I'll only be going when the weather is good anyway. I couldn't resist putting them in. I can always take them out and get brackets for the Double cab. That's where they were supposed to be going anyway. The ventilation thought was also in my head. May end up getting a rear as well. Time will tell as I gotta get a powerplant in it first.

I've got the Wolfgang fronts and rears on mine, since the first summer it was on the road...I love them. I really love them! Yes they leak, that's the only drawback I think. But well worth it. I latch them shut when I'm on the highway, and when it's parked for the winter, other than that they're open all the time (the fronts anyway). It's just too much fun, and refreshing. Not having them would seem sort of like driving a motorcycle with a full face helmet ... what's the point? Put the stock windows back in when your old and crusty and don't want water on your "slacks", until then I say rock the safaris.

what curtis said, x 2. I love them. I might not even have my bus anymore if it wasn't for the safaris. It's the part i love most about cruisin' the bus!
