OKay, I've been eyeing up these kits vs the swing straight axle. Nate with Wagonswest has a nice kit that uses any? 69 and up type 1 trailing arm (I just happen to have a couple of those ). What drums will fit the IRS stub axle from those years. Bus boys IRS kit states the same options as the swing axle, Pre 63 bus or type 3 drums. Did VW use the same spline on everything? Dave

Thanks Mark
I did read that about the different size CV joints. Anybody have an idea which CV joint would be best?

don't really matter. unless you're roasting the hides on the bus If you are running a Bug IRS trans it will have small flanges. the Bus trans has large flanges. Bug IRS rear arms have small flanges, or early steel 944 arms have large flanges and disc brakes.
