Looks like this... 62 101 576 - chassis # J4R1 - Reef Blue (L57H) body colour with Pastel White (L90D) roof 52 - Dark Beige leatherette interior 051 - m-code, with pedestal and double pulley for the later installation of a second generator 027 - m-code, plate with emissions value and engine that complies to the Callifornia exhaust emission standard 227 - m-code, detachable headrests for all seats in cabin 09 4 - scheduled production date, looks to be Feb 26, 1976 (what's with all the Feb buses? I was born 5 days before your bus was!) 7220 - code used for production planning 2218 - model, Microbus and Microbus L, left hand drive/sliding door right, seven seater (arrangement 2-2-3) 61 - engine 2000cc/70bhp, 4-speed manual Shane I can't figure out how the de-coding works thank you !! Karma for you !! I was born on the 02/23/ but in 72 did someone add the Westy interior (bed/bench seat, cupboards/closets, sink/ice box ,table, rear facing seat ) so would this be a weekender?? or a converted at home bus?? I thought deluxe were 7 seater's?? 051 - m-code, with pedestal and double pulley for the later installation of a second generator why? whats it for?? what does it look like?? I want it!! I'm getting all this from the "VW Transporter and Microbus Specification Guide 1967-1979" by Vincent Molenaar and Alexander Prinz, otherwise I'd have no idea . It's a great resource if you can pick it up. In the Microbus you could get seven, eight or nine passeneger configuration. It looks like someone just added the westy interior to yours. I honestly have no idea what m-code 051 looks like or what it's purpose would be. Interesting option though. Shane
