Out by Bleriot ferry - Three hills. Drove by this summer, I am a Blacksmith/Horseshoer was out by the area, saw a bone yard and decided to go have a peek. Well looky, looky! Stopped by in December actually talked to the guy he said there were a few people interested in it. Phoned him two weeks later told him I was comming out with cash and a trailer, be there in an hour. We dug him out. Driver front tire was sans wheel, so hub was in the dirt for a few years. froze up pretty good. I had two wheels that I brought with me, stuck them on and pulled him out. Fortunately ground had a layer of snow cause we, skidded that tire all the way. Pulled him onto the trailer with a back-hoe and off we go. Guy said they had him running a few years ago. I've got his belly full of oil right now and when I get me a battery, we'll see what we have. Jeri

Looks better from the top then underneath. Not so nice! Outriggers- one, jack points - none, crossmembers - some, frame- a-little-swiss-cheesy! It'll be an adventure.

Hey that was just sarcasm, after all I'm one of you bay guys! Just self-deprecation I guess, I like to point out that we're only slightly better than orphans in some peoples eyes.
I'll stop now ;D.

I think it's a great Single Cab...especially the nose... My favourite photo is the one from the front - on the trailer with Both doors open... My next favourite is the rear shot showing off the "Commercial" license plate!
...Bay windows are not quite as cool as Splitties...but an early Bay Deluxe is better than a late model bay. Is it a '72?

Let's not forget some of us still own a water-pumper too, and yes they are just as cool. That's like comparing apples and - trucks. In response to that statement, I direct you to the last line of the "Rules of Engagement" section. www.nuts.commercial-air.com/aboutnuts.htmha ha ha !! thats good one!! I spent 20g's on a GTi after I bought it ,this is why I'm back to Air cooled!! sorry didn't mean to open Pandora's box seeing this thread was about seat belts cheers SPICE

I'm getting into this conversation pretty late, but I have to agree with coronabus about the water cooled's. I love my air cooled stuff & really apreciate them, but with our climate I don't think I could live without my truck & heater! ;D (and now heated seats! ) Now about the seat belts........ If you don't mind drilling some holes or doing some welding I would put them in. Even though it wasn't factory on my '66 I put good belts in right off the bat. Not so much for my safety as the safety of my Daughter & Wife.
