So what do you think? The white roof top only would be correct for the year if I had a Deluxe, like so... The all white upper was done on later bays, but I think sometimes it can help add a vintage appeal and connection to the splits. I also thought of doing something like the above picture but to paint the roof top the same as the lower body colour. I obviously have a few months and alot of work before I really need to figure this out, but I thought I'd see what you guys and gals had to say. Shane

I like the looks of the bottom pic. That is more of a classic Bay look. I think Missy would be happy with that

I have to go with the Bottom Pic... roof and window section painted white. Unless you decide to go with a solid color for the entire bus. Just remember, it doesn't matter what we think/like... it's YOUR bus and it has to make You happy. Not everyone is cool with Orange Ghias... - DP

I'm a big fan of 1 color myself. But Doug is right, make the choice you like best. 2 tone on a Bay does look pretty sharp of done right.

I've always been a fan of a nicely done two-tone, and since I don't feel obligated to do the 100% original thing (I've got the Ghia for that) I figure I might as well go for it, it's just a baywindow after all... . In the end I'll do whatever feels best, but I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone else thinks. Like I said though I'm a long way from paint, I've just done a few patches to the floor and wheel well the past couple weeks (my first welding experience!). I am planning on going grey and white, if I can't have a Mouse Grey split I'll just have to fake it! Shane

My vote is for white roof only. It would be a little different than the usual bay. I have a great original print ad from '68 that I'll scan for this thread. It shows an bay DC with white roof that really is sharp.

No votes for what I was going to go with! Maybe I will anyway "just to be different" . Thanks again for your opinions. Spice, sounds like you might like Dave's westy... Shane
