Anybody got a spare master cylinder for a 71 - 79 Bus? I found new brazilian ones for not too much, German quite a bit more, but I'm sure a decent orginal german would work just fine.

Generally, guys buy those new. Nothing wrong with new brake parts. Spend the extra couple bucks for a German one though. I'm not sure if the 70's m/c's need it, but if you find you need the spacer to adapt the m/c to the split bus mounting place, let me know. I have a couple spares and I'll ship you one down.

The RiffRaff adapters are VERY nice! Alot nicer than the ones from CIP. I'm looking forward to putting one on the '56 soon. Chris

Yeah dave, that's the one. You will have to supply your own bolts and boots, but I have the aluminum spacer for you.

Don't consider used parts for brakes.... BAD idea. Brake fluid is supposed to be flushed every two years regardless of mileage. It absorbs water from the atmosphere, and the water will build up in the fluid, leading to corrosion, damaged seals etc. Do you think that the fluid in a 30+ year old vehicle has been flushed 15 times? I'd be willing to bet that is has not. Brazilian brake parts are OK for dune buggies, but not fantastic for bus master cylinders. Save money elsewhere. Trust me. Oh... and conveniently I usually stock those masters... www.concept1.ca/AIR%20COOLED%20FOLDER/211611021AA%20T2%20Mast%20Cyl.jpg211 611 021 AA..... German manufacture. Retail is $149.95 10% off for NUTS members so $134.95. Just FYI. Ken
