While (Whilst?)I think of it, I am missing one of the 27mm passenger side jam nuts that hold the wheel bearings in place. This is for a 64-67 front beam as there is a newer beam in the Mango. This is the right hand thread one. Oddly, I have a spare left hand thread one if someone needs it. Alternatively, If anyone has the clamp style nuts from a Bay, I would prefer those. Let me know

I have one bay style clamp nut w/allen bolt if you want it Keith. I'll check the thread direction and let you know.

Thanks NRM Let me know - might as well ship it out anyhow, that will mean I only have to scare up one more. Also, while I think of it, could you see if you have any influence over the Carmel interior in Manitoba?

Do all baywindow buses wheel bearing nuts fit splits? Or is there a certain year? And do early and later splits have different thread sizes? I never did like the 2 lock nuts.

Do all baywindow buses wheel bearing nuts fit splits? Or is there a certain year? And do early and later splits have different thread sizes? I never did like the 2 lock nuts. The early bays have the clamp style single nut that is the same as 64-67 split bus spindles (1 ton). The 55-62 bus spindles are larger diameter and take different sized nuts - not sure of the exact size. The 62 and earlier brakes and cylinders are different from the later ones as well. The 63 bus front beams were either a 3/4 ton - which was exactly the same as the 62 and prior beam, or the 1 ton beam which had 62 and earlier link pins, but 64 and later spindles and brakes. Yours is a 62?, so it will have the old style, larger spindles so you have to double nut, the bay clamps will not work.
