Hmm, maybe a trip down is in order... Anyone interested in making a "saturday" out of it??? I'm gonna phone him and see if it would be worth my while (I need seats, bumpers and a steering wheel, and don't feel like spending the money on shipping these bulky things).

Make a Saturday of it.... where are you? Seattle is at least 2 days from me. He got back to me and does have a few items I'm needing.

Come on, you can get to Seattle in about 16 hours from Edmonton! ;D Not quite sure where Port Orchard is though...
Jeez he has a ton of stuff in those photos! If anyone is going let me know, I'm sure I could use some stuff too.

And that 16 hours if you go the speed limit. I have made it to Duncan on the island in less that 13 hours from Edmonton (with ferry included)If someone does go down I would love to order some stuff. I have emailed him and will see if he has anything I need. I might go down his way on tuesday and wednesday as I will be in the area for a wedding. But I am flying so my bringing stuff back is limited.

Port Orchard appears to be west across Puget Sound from Seattle proper. Either take a ferry on the north end of Seattle or drive down through Tacoma and back up to Port Orchard. I won't be making the trip, but if someone goes, let me know and I'll arm you with a short shopping list and cash.
I wonder how badly picked over it will be by the locals??

Okay, typed before I really thought about it. Probably about 12 hours away.... makes it more tempting now to run down.

It was pretty good not a lot of type 2 parts but a few. I scored a rear seat kick panel and rear seat luggage bar with end caps and uprights. He had lots of sekurit glass and other bits. Saw a 63 23 in Port Angeles when we got off the ferry. Very cool. Didn't hear from anyone before I left so didn't grab anything. Good guy too. He actually took off for half an hour and let us rummage through his yard while he was gone. Lots of beetle and bay stuff and some ghia.
