How about a 40 horse generator stand?? Chris Crap! I forgot all about that! I'll try to dig through some boxes this weekend Chris. I know I HAD one. No whether I still have one is another story....... Just kidding. Good work spreading the parts Greg! Looks like this one will keep a number of them on the road. I hate parting out a VW. But some of them just can't be saved. If I can use this car to save a few other though it is worth it. It didn't look too bad when I picked it up. But once I saw all of the tin, rivets, fiberglass & bondo I realized just how bad it really was.

I think I have a 40 hp Genny stand in the shed. I'll look tomorrow. If not I'm sure I know where there is one.

Thanks for trying Greg.
Mowser, it would be appreciated. It's the last thing Shayna needs to finish the 1600 sp for the '60 beetle. I was thinking back to how many I've thrown out over the years....should have kept 'em.

I was thinking back to how many I've thrown out over the years....should have kept 'em. Chris I was thinking the same thing! I remember those days.... "Ah, who needs this 6 volt crap anyway?" I'm thinking more to all the ovals & 36hp engines we trashed or used for dune buggies.

"Ah, who needs this 6 volt crap anyway?"
I think Keith had one in the pile of 40hp stuff I sold him last year. He could be using it by now though

I think Keith had one in the pile of 40hp stuff I sold him last year. He could be using it by now though I checked the 142 (roughly) gen stands I have laying around loose. i will check the boxes of stuff I got from Mark - maybe there is a prize in the bottom of the cereal box??

I know I have one Chris...just a matter of where. Or talk to Todd, I know he has a ton of them. I really need to get a sea can in the sring to store all my parts instead of them being scattered in various locations, and parts cars.

I really need to get a sea can in the sring to store all my parts instead of them being scattered in various locations, and parts cars. The seacan is a good idea. I hit the recycler with all the stuff I thought was crap. Cleaned up the shop, but now I'm searchin' for parts. Todd just dropped off my trailer. I forgot to ask him for one before he left Saskatoon. Now, he's gone to Thailand for a couple months. Anyway, we'll track one down. Back to the previous thread. Thanks for letting us borrow this one Greg. Chris

That is awesome Keith! I'm glad someone was able to come across a small dia 6 volt genny stand! Now, as a sale flaked out..... R.F. seat, windshield & rear seat back/bottom up for sale again. Just to make things clearer..... The windshield is good, not perfect. 1 rock chip, not a star. And it needs paint over spray scraped off. Rear seat back has the usual rot. Good candidate for re-upholstery, frame and latch in good shape. Rear seat bottom is better, but just starting to split. Again, good candidate to upholster. R.F. seat is just starting to split, frame and rails in excellent shape. -Greg
