How much would it cost to weld in the left (drivers/long) side rocker panel and passenger rocker panel (under cargo doors?) on a split bus?
Who does this work, what do they charge and what are typical 'going' rates?

number one is where are you located (you should have it listed in your profile so others don't have to ask everytime you have a question)? Once we know that then we can figure out who may help you.

I'm on an acreage but I can get to Edmonton, or Calgary easily (or points around I guess).

This is a very difficult question to answer. The main factor in any metal work is how far the damage extends. From the outside it may only appear to be limitted to the outer rockers. Once you get into it you may find that the inner rocker, cargo door inner strenthener, top hats, etc. are rusted out as well. I would speculate that just outer rocker replacement should take about 6 hours per side (done properly). At going shop rates, that's about $1000.00 with materials.

My answer was going to be similar to Chris'. The rust rarely doesn't extend to at least the inner rockers. This means out riggers, and then Jack points as well. A few pictures might help out a bit. My guess would be 10-15 hours per side. It's tough to find a shop to do this kind out work, but you could try FK Kustoms in Edmonton. Good guys. They are part of westside-automotive.com/
