From the Club Vee Dub Forum earlier today: Ken - "Chris, I noticed some problems with your "build up" pictures. Your front beam seems to be missing it's adjusters. For that matter your dropped spindles don't seem to be very "dropped" either..... are you sure you know what you are doing? Just buggin.... looking good!!!" Chris - "LOL! You won't believe this Ken. I was going to call you today about that. It's too high! I need dropped spindles. I'll call you this afternoon. BTW, don't tell Shayna" The Double Cab: www.commercial-air.com/projects.htm

Ah, the wife knows better. When I start talking safety, she knows there is no practical reason for the ensuing expensive mod. I'd be down for a dropped spindle GB!!

Fill us in. Chris Yes, I'm buying Andrew's '68. I doubt I'll have it road worthy before next spring, but I'm really excited! I'll be posting my "need to buy" shopping list soon, but I guess I should actually have it in my driveway first . Shane

Some possible good news on the spindle front, I emailed Nate at Wagens West and this is what he had to say. "Yes we can do a discount but they need to be in the same order or at least in at the same time with a single payment we could do them for 220.00 each set plus shipping for more than 3 sets. Thanks, Nate @ www.wagenswest.com" I asked about both Bay and Split drop spindles, but I am assuming he's talking about Bay spindles with a core (saves us about $30US each set). I'll get him to clarify and let you all know. Has Ken mentioned how much he can get them for? I do prefer to support the locals but money is a little tight right now. Shane

I think the double would look good slammed. You know of course that as a founding member you now have a duty to Shane to get him the package deal on the spindles!

Sounds like Shane has to hook me up with the package deal! I got a higher price. However, I think I'll send them to Ken anyway. He's been kind enough to research the best options for me and he sure isn't making a fortune on one set of spindles. Plus, he's a NUTS member and I really support C1.

What are you going with? How much is it going to cost?
Keep in mind the $220US doesn't include shipping the spindles down and then back up (not to mention customs b.s.).
Like I said I prefer to support local, and Ken has been good to me in the past, I just need to see some numbers to know I'm staying on budget.
