You like VW's that Work.... Meet Sarah. She used to be our shop truck, now she lives out in BC. at a cabin in Wasa Lake. The cabin has no heat other than a wood burning stove, so we have to go and get wood a couple of times a year. The guys at the sawmill always laugh and say "you can have all the wood you can fit in your little truck for $30....." It's a lot of wood, I don't think they realize. This is me sitting on top of a huge wood pile loading the truck in the most inefficient way possible. She's a 59' and she came from Swiftcurrent about 10 years ago. 26,000 Orig miles on her when we got her. The 36HP was pulled and put into storage along with all the original running gear, and it runs dropped spindles, a straight axle kit, and a 1600dp. She is awesome.

That's a great photo! and a great SC! Where was I 10 years ago? ? Oh yeah....hunting for TIII's. What was I thinking? I should have been pulling buses out of Swift Current! Thanks for the pic Ken. I think I'll have to change my screen saver.

Yeah Sarah is alive and well. She likes her new life of going to get wood and visiting the garbage dump. The best part is she is Katie's again (I sold it back to her-my GF from a long time ago) so she's still in the family, and I get to drive her. We loaded the treasure chest as well, and this wood lasted us the whole winter. We were careful with the wood throwing, as you can see by the pile in front of the rear wheel... you should have seen how much ended up on the other side of the truck Sarah is the truck that got many CVD guys going on type 2's. Duffy and Curtis loved ther first drive in her so much they bought there own. She also moved about 10 cars (mostly shells) and countless people's belongings (moving day).

Great pic! However, Ken you stack wood like a big city slicker! Your gonna need me out there to show you next time I think. I love SC work trucks. I remember back when I worked at the V-Dub Restore, how we would load car bodys into the back of the old 63 shoptruck, and also take various loads to the dump. I will never forget the time we had a load of shingles piled well above the height of the roof, and seeing the expression on the face of the guy working the weigh scale! ;D After my first drive in that truck, I new I would also need a SC one day.
