Hey bus lovers... I spotted this in the staging lot of the calgary pick and pull as of sunday at 5:00pm.
It is a bullet nosed 15 window in original paint. it looks to be in fairly nice shape. It has damage to the roof above the front windows and air vent section but this could be replaced with not too much trouble. It is on all 4 wheels all holding air. The way it is sitting in the back looks as though the engine is still in it. It also looks to be complete aside from the belt line trim which has been removed and the bullet housings lenses and holders are missing.
It is white over red (think Keiths 15) and the paint looks to be in very good shape from 50 feet away. As I said I saw it in the staging lot of P&P. I do not know how much they will want but it already had a "builder" sign on it so it will not be parted out unless absolutely no interest is shown on it. I had the hopes of being able to make them a cash offer before it ever hit the lot, but wont have the means...
I am putting this info up to all the bus lovers to see this bus get saved. From what I can see over the fence it is NOT a parts bus, but some thing that really should be saved.
I hope some one on here picks it up and saves it. If you pick it up and are fairly local I will donate some of my available time to help save this bus if you need the help.
Brant.

No april fools shane. Go Get it!
When you pull into the lot, look towards the main building. On the right side you will see a white "tent" behind the fence. The bus is on the far right of this "tent".
If I saw what I think I saw I'm pretty sure it had ALL the seats in it still.

She needs A LOT of handy work but should definitely be saved. Not exaclty a small bump in the roof that's for sure.

VIN is 384879 or so. So it's a late Sept 58 bus. High tail lights, euro spec. It missed pressed bumpers by about a month on the back end and M-Code plate by about three weeks on the front end. High tail light buses are cool. Has a Grand Centre dealer sticker on the rear hatch, so could have been military personnel brought it over from Germany. Someone tried to stuff a Type 4 engine in it - engine bay tin is bent, not cut. It is mashed bad at the front. A pillars are collapsed, B pillars are tweaked. Top of dash has been mashed down where the split post pushed into it. Bottom of the nose is rusty, so it needs a nose and front half roof clip. It is rusty too- not terminal, but Holy Smokes rusty - Still, a bullet 15! Only one other know in captivity in the province. Pretty rusty and pretty mashed. If someone from here is brave enough to take on this beast, please post it up when you get it.

Why after all these holy project posts do I still want to bring it home? Has it moved into the sales yard now?

Well. Whoever brings that bus home I will buy the complete t4 engine out of it as I need a set of heads right now and the carbs that are on it.
The bus still does look save-able by samba standards. If I had the space and money I would be bringing it home with me lol.
I really do hope it gets saved. It deserves it.

Does anyone know who came up from Lethbridge to see it?

That's a T3 engine not a T4. How much do they want for it? I betcha you can get it from them for what it's worth in scrap weight.

See, I knew the single port manifolds didn't make much sense but then I've never seen a half disassembled Type 3 engine in person before.
They were asking a little more than scrap prices for it, but I didn't think it was too far out. Maybe if it's still there on Monday I should buy it? ;D

No middle seat, only the front bench and the rear. Had a bunch of Beetle bumpers and stuff in the middle.
They were asking $1,000.

Was any of the delux trim inside the bus or possibly any bus bumpers?
