I have to do something about the way my bus is sitting. I have a 74 Westy that goes through CV joints way to fast. The boot rips due to the angle of the axle, which in turn is due to either a sagging right rear or something is tweaked causing the wheel to tilt in at the top. I know this is nagative camber that could come from a sagging rear, but it is only on the passenger side, the driver's side is great. I would like to fix this problem before driving it again. I have read some of the threads posted on adjusting the torsion arm, and most people seem to be able to do that no problem, however not ever doing it before am somewhat nervous about doing it wrong. I am not sure that by just adjusting the torsion arm this will solve my angle problem or present a new one seeing as it is only one side that is tilted. Is it possible that the suspension on this side could have been bent in some accident? It seems pretty tough and hard to bend this part of the bus, especially when there was no visible signs of an accident when I bought it. If there is any one in Calgary that might be able to help me in this area that would awesome. Thanks Shawn

Adjusting the low side is probably your best bet. It's a bit of a pain but nothing you should be afraid of if you work safe.
My question is how low is it sitting? I would think it would have to be pretty much on the ground to be at such an extreme angle as to be tearing CV boots on a regular basis.
