Well, after a month and a half of secrets, subterfuge, sneaking around and just plain hard-work... I am proud to announce that Chris Murray popped the question...and Shayna-Jaymie said YES!! This day is also notable because it marks the delivery of the World's First "Engagement Bus". In this case... the "secret" long lost 1961 15-Window Deluxe! Click on the following link and click on the LAST picture..then keep selecting "PREVIOUS" to see the photos in the order that I snapped 'em. s11.photobucket.com/albums/a178/dpeters83gti/BUS/?start=280 Again, Congratulations!!!! and Photos of the completed Bus will be posted here for everyone to enjoy! The Secret is Out!! - DP

Congrats you two. I think dancing bananas are in order I think Gus the Bus is a little jealous of the competition one province over. He was getting rather spoiled, being the only 15 window in the club. I really hope he doesn't try to scratch it's paint when they meet!

Her name is Marry and yes she's a beauty. She is the icing on a pretty sweet cake I've been told that we have to plan our wedding to coincide with "bus season". I guess that takes care of the something old ;D

Pretty cool. Congrats you guys. Set a date yet? PS. What time capsule did you find that thing in? I asked Chris to write down the entire story with all the details so that he could share this with everyone. I could spoil the story (because I was there for most of it)..but it's Chris' story... and is best told by him. He's also more familiar with a lot of the small, yet important details of the life of this amazing bus. Time Capsule indeed! - DP

I've been told that we have to plan our wedding to coincide with "bus season" Indeed you do How many split buses do you think we can get at the festivities?? A convoy of splits through the streets of Her Majesty's Canadian City would be pretty cool I think.

Congrats Chris and Shayna ...And thank you for setting a precident that allows us Nuts to rationalize buying more busses ...as symbols of our love to our spouses! P.S. I will be in Regina the first weekend in July to collect the Manitoba VW export tax ...and let me tell you it's going to be HUGE for snatching this bus!
