yes it is the same guy. He had to move his business from a large area to a warehouse so he has to get rid of lots of his stuff. He had almost unlimited parking at the previous place so he could afford to pick up anything. I can see buying the Binz in whatever condition but the other stuff is pretty rusty. I would rather spend double/triple the money to get no rust.

I would definitely rather spend more to get a solid bus, and there are a couple I'm keeping my eye on south of the border. Unfortunatley I now have one major thing going against me and it's that momma needs a toy too, and she doesn't want a VW. Shane

Trust me even if she did want a Hummer I wouldn't let that happen!
What will be will be, The Miss will hopefully be hitting the pavement in the next couple weeks and then I have a little red car to get at, I can worry about new projects after that. If the right vehicle (Bus and or car as the case may be) comes along I can make it work so don't be sad Chris. I have some pictures of this past weekend with three cars in the garage (one of them being the '74 Beetle I was holding for Greg) and three cars out front, quite an interesting setup... ;D

Back on track here. All it takes is to see Keith once in awhile and for him to remind me how much I really need a split. I did find a decent looking '60 DC in Edmonton while picking up some parts a couple weekends ago but I think I've made the owner grumpy with my inquiries, when I asked a price range if it should become available I got "between too much and $10,000. Oh well. Anyway, here's what I have in mind in case anyone is interested. Option #1 Option #2 Hells yah I want all the racks and canopy... The fall back... I'm thinking this whole truck thing might be a little difficult and/or expensive so there's always my favorite standard, plus I already have the Sprints! Shane

I'm not sure if it's the same one, just a random picture I had saved, but the one with the Sprints has been in the UK awhile I think. Thanks Trevor, even though I'm totally busted right now I'll have to keep an eye on it. Looks like it would probably be a 12-14 hour drive, might be a fun trip home. Shane

The seller just posted some undercarriage pictures, that is one solid bus. I'm sure this one will hit at least $14k which is waaay too much for me right now. Anybody want to buy a lowlight convertible? Shane

The 59 double Cab that I used to own is sitting on a farm not far from here now. The guy I got it off of bought it back with big hopes and dreams. As far as I know it hasn't budged and is collecting some new cancer. It's a hell of a project but might be had for a good price. I have oodles of pictures if you want a peek.

I'm really not hoping for some huge project as I would like to be able to finally start the body on my '57 Ghia in the next year or two. How was it in terms of being complete? If you think of it maybe send me some pictures of the worst parts and see if that scares me off. Shane

I am sure my Wife will shoot me for even thinking of this, but if Shane is not interested please send me some pictures of the worst & best areas. With 2 kids & a large dog we are going to need something larger than the beetle soon & the Westy is a LONG way off yet. Greg

Looks like I was wrong about the eBay DC, only made it to just shy of $11k, that seems like a steal compared to what everyone is asking for junk on The Samba. I know Keith will have something to say about it but I'm thinking more and more that an early bay DC would be the way to go. It would obviously be cheaper short term and there are other bonuses in my mind but it's just not as asthetically pleasing, I guess we'll have to see what comes up. Shane

Ooooh Greg you're gonna be in so much trouble... ;D Shane My driveway & garage are not that crowded yet! Are they??? ;D Actually the Wife fully supports the DC idea as I use my GMC truck a lot in the summer, this way I wil have a truck & a VW all in one! Greg
