I can't see any reason that it wouldn't be ready. Besides powder-coating and that exhaust system...and a little fine tuning on the DELL's... I can see April as a very easy target to get it installed and running. - DP

Thanks guys! I make no predictions on finish date. I'll only say that I'm doing my best with the limitted time I have to work in the garage these days. It really should be done by now anyway.
Dave, I use the Eastwood kit. It's dead easy and the coating seems to hold up really well. If you have a small blasting cabinet you can put nuts and bolts in a sieve and give them a quick blast. It works really well and the black phosphate adheres evenly.

Another quick update. DP and Mikey came over on Sunday to lend a hand. We only had a couple hours but alot was accomplished. DP took care of the sound deadening in the doors and side panels. Thanks Doug! Mikey and I tackled the installation of the steering components. During the past week I've knocked out a few more things on the assembly list. Gas tank in. pop-outs in. dash panel powdercoated and speakers installed. Even more engine parts arrived and I finished the custom breather tower and had it powdercoated. Everything for the engine is now here and measured. I'll start the mock up on the weekend and get it all together for balancing. Also, I'm just about done the stainless brake fluid resevoirs. I still have to weld on the flared tubes and check for fit. However, looks like I can get those done this week as well. It's a slow process. Chris

BUMP from the Dark Ages... This is a cross-post from CVD....so here goes... Welcome to the latest update to Chris's DC. With one week to go until the Majestics Car Show ( the Regina version of W.O.W.) Chris has been getting the final details finished on the DC so that it'll be ready to show. This first photo shows the inner door structure on the passenger side. Chris was in the middle of installing the door-glass channel and window regulator when I stopped by the other night. The tape around the inner edge of the door is two-sided tape to fasten the vapor-barrier in place once the glass is installed. Another one of the major challenges of this project has been checked off. The Windshield glass installation has been completed and looks great! It's nice to see it coming together...it looks finished! Here's a shot of the Driver's Side of the DC in the Upholstery Shop. Even though it's a little blurry...here are the first photos of the custom stitched upholstery. I'll also add that in these photos...the covers haven't been finished or even fully installed. Driver's Seat Rear Seats Door Panels have been cut...and holes drilled. Door panels haven't been finished just yet... Here's the Quarter Window frame and pivot. How about N.O.S. Glass? The DC in the Upholstery Shop. And finally...some artistic shots for good measure... That's all for now... the Debut of this project will be coming very, very soon... Stay Tuned!! - DP ( Posting on behalf of Chris Murray )
