Mark, the mini heads showed up just after we got back from Das Volks. I have a couple problems with them though. Darren is going to fix 'em up for me. However, they look great!!I still can't believe I can see the backs of the exaust valves through the ports. Very nice porting job. I think Ken is running an AutoLinea case as well. From what he has to say about his new engine, I wouldn't hesitate to use one. In fact, I think I will. I'll have to update the DC thread with my plans. She'll be a stump puller...even at onlt 78mm stroke. Demello is going to build me a full circle one this month. Chris

No probs with my Autolinea case and I rag it up a drag strip on a fairly regular basis as well as drive it daily. You'll need a hellishly big sump though if you're building a 2110.

Good to hear another vote for aluminum cases. Seems as though the new versions are much nicer than the first. Any info on cooling? I've read a few threads about the alu cases running hotter? Seems to me that any larger engine is going to run hotter than stock and the difference would be next to none between alu and mag.
Anyway, I think we should start an engine Q and A thread. Lots of new stoves being built this winter....

You'll need a hellishly big sump though if you're building a 2110. 2110 is just a baby stroker. You shouldn't need any more than 1.5 quart unless you are spinning some stupid RPM's which I doubt you will with the DC Chris. However it never hurts to er on the large side of things either. Hell my 2332 only has a 1.5 Berg sump. As far as cooling just run your OE German tin with a good welded doghouse fan and shroud and put an external oil coloer with thermo fan on it. Or buy my Porsche fan setup. ;D

That's the thing with alu cases, more oil is the easiest way to make sure you keep the temp down.
